Obituary

Herman F. Dick, 82 years old of Langhorne Manor, PA passed away on November 13, 2016. He was born on July 6, 1934 in Adams County, IN. Herman was one of eleven children of the late Albert F. Dick and the late Virgil L. (Andrews) Dick. He married Ardelle (Lauble) Dick on January 12, 1957. They met in the summer of 1956, while both were serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Herman was a graduate of Adams Central High School, Decatur, IN. He retired from Rohm Haas in Bristol, PA after over 40 years.

Surviving are his wife and "his girl" Ardelle (Lauble) Dick of Langhorne Manor, PA; his children: Jennifer (Kenny) Markanich of Old Hickory, TN; Herman (Susan) Dick Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; Douglas (Kathleen) Dick of Columbia, TN; Loretta (Jim) McCourt of Langhorne Manor, PA; Susan (Sean) Campbell of Langhorne Manor, PA; his sisters and brothers: Alice Liechty of Berne, IN; Robert (Carol) Dick of Fort Wayne, IN; Harold (Elaine) Dick of Albany, IN; Mary (Jerry) Bean of Anderson, IN; Roger (Arlene) Dick of Cary, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Daniel Markanich, Dustin (Jessica) Markanich, Karl Dick, Sarah (Adam) Pickersgill, Emily Markanich, Michael Dick, James McCourt, Jack McCourt, Patrick Campbell, Rachael Dick, Matthew Campbell, Adell Campbell, and one great grandson Owen Markanich.

Preceding him in death were 3 sisters, Violet Beck, Esther Dick, and Doris Sprunger, and two brothers, Edward Dick and Donald Dick.

Herman was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with his family. Vacations and holidays with family were among his happiest moments. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Visitation with the family will be held on December 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Langhorne United Methodist Church, Langhorne, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately after at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made for Alzheimer's research (alz.org) or to the Langhorne United Methodist Church, 301 E. Maple Ave., Langhorne, PA 19047.
